In this arcade-style game, you are an alien-like character with hair that looks like fire. There are many unique places and planets to explore in the game. The first planet you will explore is a purple world. The first thing you will do is click on the planet. This planet will lead you to a tutorial for the upcoming parts of the game. It will help prepare you for the other levels.

One drawback to the game was that, in the first tutorial I tried, the buttons under the character (to move the character) did not successfully move the character. Then, after the buttons failed to move the character, it said I lost. However, the next time (when I tried to play for real and did not use the tutorial) I had success! The initial tutorial does need fixed so that the buttons below are responsive. The up, down, and jump/down buttons did not work for my device. However, this game is not difficult to teach yourself, so this is not a huge problem.

As far as features, the character moves up and down and left and right. As far as up and down, the character automatically jumps and dodges. The music is electronic and very fitting for the space scenery. This is a cute game that is minimalist, and it has easy-to-use controls. You need these left, right, up and down arrows so that you can avoid the things that start coming at you.  In the first few levels there are birds and caterpillars. When you win, you are shown how many stars you earned for that given level on the home screen. In the beginning, you only have one life. However, the game keeps on adding up you points as you progress. As you progress through the levels, the objects such as flying birds and walking caterpillars start coming faster and faster!

On the right of one of the main screens is the button that leads you to the planet where you play the levels. In the middle of this game screen there is a button you may click that leads you to another screen. You don’t play games on this part of the app. Here you can roll dice to see how lucky you are, and perhaps to earn more points. There is also a heart, which is an upgrade that can give you more lives. It is all like a store, where you buy various things with your experience points. It looks like the game keeps track of several different levels. The hearts stand for lives, and the EXP points work as a form of currency, as I said earlier, for the store. There are also stars that are kept track of.

I’d like to also touch on the fact that on the very first black Dodger screen, there is an option to share on both Facebook and Twitter. You can also turn off the music here in case it gets too repetitive for you. On the next screen to the right, the app talks about how coming soon are new planets, more new games, and this app, ad free, for a small price. I am not too keen on Euros, but it says it costs 0, 99 of them. However, the adds that are on the game already are down at the bottom, and very non-intrusive and non-distracting.

The game reminds me of Tribal run, and is also reminiscent of older Pac Man games, except in a more space themed way.

On the one hand, it’s an organizer’s paradise. On the other hand, it’s a social networking tool that opens doors to new fitness opportunities around the corner that you may not have even known existed.

The overall layout of the app is clean and super easy to navigate. It leverages the power of GPS to locate events that are registered in the app and shows them on a map, so you can decide on what exercise class or basketball challenge you want to sign up for. It doesn’t stop at any sport, Hoops Connect supports just about any type of exercise class and activity you can think of.

For events that are class based and require fee payment, Hoops Connect provides a cool interface that allows you to sign and pay, so all you have to do is get there on time and participate.

As mentioned earlier, you can use the app in two ways: as an organizer and as a participant. As an organizer, you can create new events that you want to put out into the Hoops network to see what kind of response you get. If you have a certain set of friends that you specifically want to contain the event to, invite only them, and make it a semi private event.

If you are a gym owner or hold classes of your own, as an organizer, you can easily create a schedule set of events and specify how users can register and pay for the classes. What is really cool about the app is it allows organizers to track attendees and dropouts, so those who are waiting can backfill last minute open spots. You can even communicate directly with participants using the in-app messaging capabilities.

I would like to see a bit more overlap and connectivity via Facebook or other social media so you can put the word out to others who may not be in the app already. This way you can invite them to join in and sign up.

I look forward to finding more classes for sports I already enjoy and hope to make new discoveries for classes I did not know even existed. Hoops is not just for basketball, it’s for everyone.

Data storage has moved from physical devices to what we call the cloud. Nebulous at first, the cloud seemed like a solution that could work, but for skeptics, it was something to be wary of. Today, nothing in terms of computing and data management can be done without the cloud. Everyone uses it – including individual users.

If you are a Mac owner and want an easy way to access each and every cloud account you own, then CloudMounter is the app to use.

CloudMounter, once installed, becomes a seamless addition to your Mac’s menu bar, making it effortless to set up connectivity and access to your cloud “stuff”. After installing CloudMounter, you will see how easy it is to set up virtual servers to your Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and Amazon S3 accounts, in addition to setting up FTP, WebDAV servers and SFTP.

Setup is easy, and detection even easier. Each connection, or mount, you create gets its own icon and unique color, so you don’t have to fish around your desktop. Once you’ve created a mount for your cloud server, it is super easy to copy and move files to and from your Mac. They act like physical drives you’ve mounted to your machine.

You can see the mounted cloud drives under your computer’s name in the Finder app. At first I thought I would see them as separate drives in Finder, but turns out they are under your computer device.

A very important feature to make note of is encryption. CloudMounter works with the cloud services and employs its own rock solid encryption algorithms to ensure that every file you upload and access via your Mac is visible only by you from your CloudMounter account. Downside to this is that you cannot view these files from your other devices, not until CloudMounter becomes available on the iPhone or iPad. Upside – no one else will have access to your files. They may be able to see that you have files out there, but the encryption works its magic to make those files incomprehensible.

As would be expected, Keychain is fully supported, so you are not left wondering what your passwords are when you try to access the different cloud accounts. The Mac and CloudMounter take care of that.

One downside I noticed, that I hope CloudMounter can fix, is the reduced speed with which files are copied in comparison to moving files. Making this feature work faster would be nice.

I have to say that I did stumble through the site initially because there was not much in terms of instructions or how to’s. I did find a link to Help eventually. It was sitting at the bottom of the site. It really should have been easier to find.

What is nice about this site is that is has a great counterpart on mobile devices. So, you don’t have to download an app, the site is super easy to use and responds well.

It kind of is a win-win for everyone. It’s fun and it’s new. I don’t think I have come across too many of these types of monetization sites, but the thing that makes this site so nice is that it’s clean and friendly and challenging in a fun way.

While there is no real end destination to reach, the point of the game is to survive. The app will throw all sorts of obstacles your way. Things like debris, asteroids, comets, other ships, and more. Your main defense is to avoid. You do this by tapping on the left side of the screen to move left, or right side to move right. It will take a while to know just how many times to tap to move your ship by just enough to veer its path.

Your ship will also have the ability to fire at oncoming objects and foreign entities. Weapons and fire power will vary with the different types of ships, of which there are nine.

As you fly around, you will see little gold nuggets floating in space. Collect these pieces of beauty and you’ll score points that earn you bigger and better spaceships. The ability to upgrade to enhance spaceships is extremely important, because as you advance through each game and different playing levels, you will need ships with improved maneuverability, giving you better chances of survival.

Let’s say an asteroid hits you, and one may, you can then go in search of a repair kit. Yes, there will be repair kits floating around from time to time. These repair kits look like little blue icons with a white screwdriver on it. All you do once you spot one is to steer your ship towards it. Once you collide with it, the repairs will take place and you’ll be as good as new.

Did I mention the types of games? There are three types. You can play Moon, Asteroids or Orion Nebula. Each has its own set of oncoming flying objects to avoid and/or shoot at, and its own look and feel. This helps to add some variation to the app.

I do have to say that if one thing could be improved, it would be to slightly increase the size of the ship for easier gameplay.

This game is a surefire way to escape everyday doldrums and drum up some fun. Blast off on an adventure with 2 Minutes in Space.

You can also block certain users and messages with particular characteristics. For instance, you can block messages that contain only links. We know how notorious those are. You can also block messages that are coming from conspicuously short phone numbers. If it does not have at least 10 digits, something is wrong!!

The layout of the app is clean and easy to navigate around. I found the listings and the ability to enter information extremely straightforward and clear. There were no surprises and it was apparent as to what needed to be filled in. Once you’ve created filters and rules, it is easy to go back and tweak them as you wish.

I would say that one thing I would like to see happen is maybe a report of the type of messages that were blocked just to see how well the app is working, and to make sure you have everyone you need to whitelist, so you are not missing important messages.

SpamHound is an app that everyone should have, because why waste time sifting through junk and exposing yourself to a virus, when you can setup a protective watchdog?

This adds more variety to game play, so you are not looking at the same thing over and over again. It also introduces more opportunities for different types of climbing surfaces and angles. You can also alter gravity setting to make climbs more challenging and worth more. You are looking to score coins, fuel and bonus packages.

While the app is a free download, there are in-app purchases available to help you get to the better motorcycles and add more lives so you don’t fall short at each level of game play.

The controls are smooth, but take some time to master. I had to pay quite a few rounds to get a feel for how to draw my routes well. So, don’t expect to master this right off the bat. Take your time and enjoy the rides.

You choose your opponent as well as the style of the game you wish to compete in. You can play against Dice Game Bot or request to challenge any other online participant. It is a game of chance and waiting to see how the dice land is part of anticipation.  Getting started requires the players roll a single dice. The best features of this app include it having no ads, and simple and intuitive navigation. There are left and right handed designs and reminders with repeats. You can take nots, make categories and add pictures and videos to each of them. If you want, you may even add a picture or video to each item. Back up and refresh each category so that you don’t lose any important information, and there is also smart watch support. You may add favorites flag for each item you find most important. And finally, you can share these files outside of the app with export tools for each category, text file, and more.

Another thing to note is that whatever you see is what your receiver will see. If your message is wider than the screen or editing area, you need to span is across several lines, otherwise you won’t see the entire message.

This app is fun and super easy to use. I highly recommend it if you are looking to add something different to the way you send messages.

Arc your design by using your finger or stylus pen to drag your ink in circular lines, press on the screen and a 360° line will start rotating around it. Very hard to achieve in the real world, this tool is a marbling wonder.

If you remember they heydays of Pokemon Go and became entrenched in the game full on, then I have a new adventure for you to try. Save the Emoji is a semi virtual reality game that sets you on a course for adventure to seek out and save emojis.

The download is for a small price, and provides long term entertainment, because everyday is different and the emojis you will encounter will vary, from day to day and from location to location. This makes the game something new every time you are in a different place: at home, at work, out shopping, on vacation – you get the picture.

Once you download, and I will caution you that is does take time, you will be asked to register using an email address. The app does not ask for much. It will also ask to have access to your camera, which you will need to play the game.

Now, another caution is that it does take time for the app to load and be ready for you to play. There is no tutorial and there are no instructions. A few taps here and there will get you to the gaming screen. As expected, the Settings can be adjusted per your taste by tapping on the “gear” looking icon. If you wish to initiate and or buy extras, you can do so by tapping on the icon that looks like a paper sheet with a list on it. The leftmost icon shows a “cell” with a finger tapping it, I did not figure out what that was for, as it did nothing when I tapped on it. The icon that looks like a keyboard will show you a grid of your saved emojis. At first, obviously, it will be empty. But, as you explore more and tap on emoji to save them, you will fill this grid and earn points.

Let’s get to the points part. Earn points and be the leader on the game, because you can compete against others who are out there doing the same.

Save the Emoji is an fully interactive game driven by your location and gps functionality. It casts you as the main player, who in this case, is a person who walks around the vicinity of your current location. As you walk, you will see your exact location on the map, which is shown in the background. You walk and the map displays where you are and in what direction you are moving.

One thing I really would like to see as an improvement is a message stating to wait while things are being loaded. I would tap on icons and the app was doing something, but I had no idea. I had to sit and wait a few times before I realized it was actually loading the screen. Instructions on how to play the game would be monumentally helpful as well!

I take my iPad around looking for emoji and when I see one flipping around or just bouncing with fun, I head in that direction and save it on my grid. If you are someone who is out and about a lot or are looking for a more interaction gaming experience, download Save the Emoji today!

Angry Birds watch out! There’s a new game in town that’s packed with colorful excitement and challenge to your gaming reflexes. It’s called CheepCheepChivalry (CCC). While it’s a mouthful to say, it provides more than a handful of fun entertainment for players of all ages, making this gaming app a download you simply cannot pass up.

Set in medieval times, the birds are cute colorful creatures who desperately want to fly from one place to another, whether it be from a cliff to a nearby castle or between two castles. The issue is that they are just to cuddly cute and chubby to keep themselves up in flight. So, where do you come in?

You become the knight in shining armor which, in the case of this game, is either a bunny rabbit (bunntails) or a kitten (purrpaws). Your job is to use your shield to deflect the falling birds and launch them back into the atmosphere, hopefully landing them in the location they need to be. If you miss, they hit the ground and this becomes a strike against you. If you get them to their destination, you earn points.

The fun in the game is when it starts to get faster and you see more and more birds falling from one place, in need of an assist. You have to move fast so you don’t miss any of them.

As you successfully get the birds back into flight, you will move up in levels of challenge. Beware that the only challenge will not just be increase in birds that fall into your lap, you will start to see storms appear, bad birds come into view who want to destroy you and or the birds. Your job is to achieve powerups and tools to make it easier for you to defeat these ominous offenders and get the birds to a safe place.

Powerful addons and power ups to look for and take advantage of include:

• Streak Multipliers – as you successfully meet goals, you will see scoring multipliers go into effect, which mean more gold for your coffers
• Bonus Gold – accomplish all of the goals put before you in the allotted time and earn extra
• Skins – choose from a variety of skins that make your knight look dashing and equally as daunting
• Bonus Levels – reach goals and open up extra levels of play to earn even more

This game kept me hooked for quite some time; enough that I was shocked at how much time had passed. Once you start, it’s hard to stop. It was easy to pick up and get a handle on. If there were one thing I could wish for to improve the game, it would be to add more types of characters to be knights, just to add variety.

I look forward to getting back to this game any chance I get, because it’s that good!

You can play without connecting, so have no fear. Once you get to a game, you will see the numbers being called at the top of the screen. What’s really nice is that each number is color coded based on the letter. B’s are red, I’s are orange, N’s are green, G’s are blue and O’s are purple. As you see them appear, you tap on your card if you have it. If you wait too long, they start to disappear, as the game shows 5 numbers maximum. To the left of the playing screen you’ll see winners from other games.

From the “lobby” or main screen, you can see all of the bonuses being offered for the current month, so you can schedule game play on certain days to win big. In-app purchases can be made from here as well, by tapping on the big green button with the plus sign.

One thing that perplexed me was that sometimes the game would seem to time out and dole out prizes even though I had not completed a full line or all four corners. Maybe it times out and wants to get you to the next game. Not sure about this.

I found this game to be relaxing and fun. I played it quite often when I needed to fill up some time here and there throughout my day. It’s not a terribly exciting game, but it is fun, entertaining and safe!

As a parent, I am sure most would agree that finding balance between right and wrong when it comes to our children’s privacy is not always easy. We faced daily with stories, articles, and reminders that the world we live in is, unfortunately, one we share with a number of immoral characters. As a mother of three teenage daughters, one of my biggest fears is what access to technology has exposed my daughters to.  There has been a lot of media attention around the dangers of predators on the internet, chat sites, social media and more recently, the dangers of cyber bullying.  When checking out the AllTracker app, I was pleased to find that this easy to install app offered me solace for most of my fears.

With AllTracker I know where my girls are at any time.  In a few clicks, I can check out the GPS location and coordinates of the mobile device. The peace of mind knowing my girls have arrived at school and home safely. The great with this is that you are even able to track and map out the route they took on the map. This came in handy when my daughter’s car broke down and her mobile devices battery had died. Her dad was able to track her movement and in no time had found where she had broken down.

The great thing about the AllTracker App is that there are no hidden costs. You pay a subscription fee for which you choose the frequency of payments, for example. It is all prepaid and you can cancel it at any time. I chose the annual subscription fee but there are other options such as monthly to choose from too.  Each of the packages offers something different. I chose the Gold Package as this allowed us to install all 5 our mobile devices onto the one package.

As a respect to their privacy, I involved my girls in the decision about what access AllTracker had on their mobile devices. There are so many options for reading SMS messages. This included incoming, outgoing and even deleted messages and photos. Together we went through the AllTracker options and chose what best suite our family such as the GPS location option.

Although we opted not to activate the following, together with my girl’s permission, we recently added the option to take photos remotely as well as activating the microphone speaker. This will be extremely helpful if the devices are ever lost or stolen or if any of my girls ever find themselves in a dangerous situation. The great thing about the AllTracker subscription, you can change your profile to include, or exclude options at any time.

The AllTracker app was easy to install. I simply had to install and run the app on each of the devices and use the “Give Permissions” option to give the app access to the data that I am able to access from our family profile on the web. Uninstalling the App was just as easy. When our eldest daughter got her upgraded device, it was simply a case of uninstalling the app through the Application Manager on the old device and reinstalling it onto the new one.

As a single parent, being concerned about the safety of my family was a really difficult problem to solve for me. I did not have the money needed to install CCTV and expensive alarms systems. No matter how hard I tried saving, I just never seemed to have enough to cover the costs to ensure my home and children are safe.

I have also set up one of the devices on a tripod near out main entrance that I can actually monitor the entrance. The motion and sound detector actually notifies me when there activities close to the device. For the device at the entrance, I have upgraded to include the tripod and wide angle lens features to cover a bigger area at the front door and part of the pathway leading to the house which is visible through our window in the door.

I was also concerned about how secure the actual data been transmitted was. I contact the inquiries at Cawice Security app and they explained that the data is encrypted and that the uses Peer-to-Peer (P2P) connection and SSL encryption. This means that the video stream between the old android devices and the phone you use to monitor.

I really recommend this app. It is free but has so many amazing benefits.

I am a Sprint Hero! Ok, just kidding but I have gotten through a number of the levels and challenges. I first started out by playing ZigZag.  The game required you to tap the screen to change the direction of the ball and to actually keep the ball moving forward.  That was really about it. There was no challenge other than controlling the direction of the ball. I lost interest very quickly.

There are a number of reasons I have kept on going back to Sprint Hero. I think the changes in the different challenges, levels and backgrounds are one of the reason that have kept me playing Sprint Hero, even when I was frustrated with the game. Sprint Hero is more than just tapping away at your screen. It requires focus and planning.

The graphics are also great. They continuously change as you proceed along the levels. They almost blend from one to the next. You have night time, day time, snow, sun. You name it, you will likely run through it.The controls are easy. You basically hold down the control to run and release at the right time to chop your fruit.  Do not be fooled though. Sprint Hero is about more than running and jumping. With Sprint Hero, it is all about the timing. Let go too soon and you miss the fruit, let go too late, you will miss the fruit which really means, you have to time your actions perfectly. You also pick up speed while running so you have to factor all that into your jump.  Trust me when I tell you, my family found my first few tries hilarious. I was frustrated at missing the jump but, oh so determined to get it right.

Chopping the fruit means you get to continue onto the next level. Another benefit is that you do no lose the fruits you have accumulated. Unlike with ZigZag, I wanted to keep going. I never lost interest (even if I did have to do the same level over a few times). I was determined to get it right. I think that was one of the greatest appeals of the game.  You can continue moving forward if you only chop one the fruits with each jump,  but another part of the challenge is collecting as many as possible.

Easier said than done, believe me. I have so far only managed to get 2 of the 3 fruits on most levels. My new challenge to myself is to get all three. I have yet to achieve that but I have had a great time trying.
